Hey There sparkle people!
So i got a question yesterday - "what is the difference btw primer and concealer?"
Good question love!
A primer is used to create a smooth canvas for your makeup. You usually use it before your foundation and after your moisturizer sets in for a while. A primer is usually a transluscent gel like thing. It also helps your makeup last longer! While you do not require a primer everyday, I do recommend an eye primer whenever you dress your eyes so that your shadows stay longer and a face primer when you are going for a party. I recommend "Porefessional" by Benefit, Laura Mercier's Mineral/Oil free foundation primer, and the Prep & Prime collection from Mac. Unfortunately i have not tried out any drugstore brands because i am scared my sensitive skin will react to it!
A concealer is something like a spot therapy - It helps cover up any kind of discolorations, redness, pimples on your skin. It is also a life saver after those sleepless nights! I do not use my concealer on a daily basis as i do not have too many problems(touchwood!), but people with dark eye-bags, or red sensitive skin might want to give it a try! Put on a moisturizer, apply foundation, then your concealer, and dust a little powder over it to set it in place and your face will look perfectly even! When buying a concealer, make sure to buy a shade lighter than your actual shade - Your foundation should match your skin perfectly ofcourse!
I would recommend the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, Mac studio finish Concealer, Loreal Paris true match cream concealer, and the inglot amc cream concealer. I have been wanting to try Bobbi Brown's concealer so will give you a shout when I do :D
QUICK TIP: When putting your concealer under the eyes, make sure not to rub the concealer in. Apply the concealer and dab it around the eyes - this avoids the wrinkles!
I hope this answers your doubt! Please do let me know if you need anymore information :D I do love answering all your queries so email me at mssparklepassion@gmail.com!
