Hey there sparkle people!
So i went on a makeup haul one weekend and bought a whole lot of new products. One of them i just had to review was the new line from body shop - the Tea Tree oil pore minimiser!
Packaging:
The pore minimiser primer comes in an opaque tube narrow at the bottom. It comes with a twistable cap.
My thoughts on the product:
I have been in search of the perfect primer. I have heard a lot about the laura mercier oil free primer and have been saving up to buy that. But this seemed pretty inexpensive(around AED 45) and i just needed to try it!
On first use the product felt amazing! The product is a translucent yellowish gel and It has this soothing effect on your skin which felt perfect in dubai's hot weather! It did not break my super sensitive skin out so that was good.
However i soon discovered, thats about all the product did. It didn't have the medicinal properties of tea tree oil, nor did it have any reduction to my pores. It was basically just an additional product on the face with no effect really. To add to my disappointment, it did not have spf either - so i would need to put on an additional spf to cover that aspect too.
That being said, if you would like just a cover on your skin before compact ( Never put on compact without a base - it will dry out your skin) this might be a good buy. I did do that a couple of times, mainly because of the soothing effect on my skin on a hot summers day!
Though i love all body shop products, i would not necessarily recommend this product to someone. It is good as a base for a hot summers day, but thats about it.
Oh well, lets hope the next product can fix my breakouts!
